Construction Inspectors - Gray, Maine 

S.W. Cole Engineering, Inc. is accepting applications for immediate openings for Inspectors for all types of construction projects, to be based in our Gray, Maine office. 

Job Requirements


Position Work includes observing and documenting work performed on projects by contractors to assess conformance with plans and specifications, contract administration, reporting daily progress, tracking and documenting quantities of work performed, resolving construction issues in the field, and other responsibilities.. 

Candidates shall have knowledge of construction means and methods, materials, ability to read and interpret plans and specifications and to calculate quantity takeoffs. Candidates must have previous experience with the observation, inspection and/or QA/QC testing for transportation and building construction related construction projects. Candidates must be computer proficient, and have effective math, written and oral communication skills. Preference for candidates with certifications including NETTCP Certifications, ICC Special Inspections, ACI and densometer gauge operator. 

Education Requirements

Drilling Assistant - Maine

Drilling Assistant - Maine

We are currently accepting applications for the position of Drilling Assistant to assist in the operation of geotechnical and environmental drilling rigs. 

Job Requirements

We require a minimum of 1 year experience working with equipment similar to drilling rigs.  Position will be based in Maine and will require extensive travel to work sites throughout Maine, and New England.  Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and supplies up to 100 pounds, and work outdoors in all seasons, temperatures, and conditions.  Tasks include safely assisting the driller with all aspects of drill rig operation and maintenance including soil boring and sampling, rock coring, measuring water levels, installing monitoring wells, installation and measurement of instrumentation, and basic maintenance of equipment.  OSHA safety training a plus. Position requires working well with others, including other drilling assistants, drillers, engineers, scientists and clients. Must be able to work collaboratively and follow instructions. 

Education Requirements

Minimum of high school diploma preferred.
