Engineers and Technicians Earn Certifications

Bangor, June 14, 2011:  Employees in each of S. W. Cole Engineering, Inc.’s six offices received fresh certifications and registrations in recent months. Over 20 certifications have been obtained by the firm’s employees since the beginning of the year, with some employees receiving as many as four certifications.

Nathan Cote and Nathan Seguin, based in the Somersworth, New Hampshire office, are the firm’s newest licensed Professional Engineers. Both took the test that was administered by the New Hampshire Board of Professional Engineers in April. The Somersworth office now has three Professional Engineers on its staff, including Senior Geotechnical Engineer Chad B. Michaud, P.E., the branch’s Office Manager.

Steven H. Howell, C. S. S., L. S. E., a 12-year veteran of S. W. Cole’s Bangor office, is now a licensed Certified Soil Scientist in the state of New Hampshire. Also a Maine Licensed Site Evaluator, Steve has held his Maine Certified Soil Scientist registration since 1986 and his American Academy of Agronomy (national) registration since 1981.

Joshua Brown, Laboratory Coordinator, received his New Hampshire Certified Wetland Scientist license in December 2010. Josh has been with the firm since 2007 and works in the Augusta office.

Other employees who received recent certifications include Van Terrell, Michael Haynes, Thomas Mitchell, Mike St. Pierre and Erik Cohenour; Mike Bisson, Andrew Michaud and Brandon Matthews each received three or more certifications in the past several months. We congratulate each of these employees on their determination and dedication.
