Sidney, Maine (July 18, 2017) – S. W. Cole Engineering, Inc. (S.W.COLE) is moving to a new location off Lyons Road in Sidney, Maine, effective August 14, 2017. The new Sidney location is at 26 Coles Crossing Drive in the Cole Business Park near Exit 120/Lyons Road of Interstate 95. The current location on Eastern Avenue in Augusta will close on August 11 and the company plans to sell that property.
New Sidney S.W. Cole Engineering Office
The new 4,200 square foot building was constructed in under 4 months by Lajoie Bros. Inc. of Augusta, Maine. The building includes office space for employees in administration, engineering, CADD, project managers for construction services, and a new materials laboratory. The firm provides construction materials testing in the laboratory, including tests on soil, aggregate, concrete and pavement.
“Our S.W.COLE team is very excited to be moving into this new facility,” said Robert Chaput, PE, President. “We used our over 38 years of experience to plan the layout of this facility, improving our sample delivery and work flow and ultimately to better serve our central Maine clients.” The Sidney office staff work on projects in the Midcoast, Kennebec Valley and Western Maine.
S.W.COLE is an employee-owned firm of over 90 technicians, engineers and scientists, providing geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and geoenvironmental services for projects throughout New England. Established in 1979, S.W.COLE has offices in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. A subsidiary, S.W.COLE Explorations. LLC, provides test boring and exploratory drilling services.
