In 2012, S.W.COLE performed construction materials testing and special inspections for a new complex at a Peterborough, New Hampshire senior living community. The project included the construction of a three-story main building, comprised of 50 assisted living and independent living units as well as a community center area and underground parking, and five smaller two-unit, two-story duplex cottages.
S.W.COLE was retained by the developer to perform construction materials testing and special inspections. Our services during this phase of the project include testing and observation of concrete, soil, structural steel, masonry and hot mix asphalt. Special inspections of soil, concrete, masonry and structural steel construction was also performed.
This project required a large amount of sitework, including deep cuts and a considerable amount of backfill. This work was made more challenging because the project was constructed during the winter months.
The buildings opened to residents in late 2013.
