Williston, VT (July 21, 2017) – S. W. Cole Engineering, Inc. (S.W.COLE) is pleased to welcome Senior Geotechnical Engineer, Thomas Morgan, P.E. to their Burlington area office in Williston, Vermont. Tom earned a B.S. in civil engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a M.S. in geotechnical engineering from the University of New Hampshire. He has over 12 years of experience.
Morgan will join the geotechnical team, who provides services to the firm’s clients, which include engineering firms, architects, developers, contractors, utilities and government agencies. The firm is unique in that a subsidiary, S.W.COLE Explorations, LLC, provides geotechnical test borings to obtain soil and rock samples for investigations.
S.W.COLE also announces the hiring of two new construction testing employees. Alan Brown, S.W.COLE’s Construction Services Manager in Vermont, noted, “We are also pleased to welcome Construction Services Technicians Taylor Mossey, a VTC graduate, and Ryan Arsenault, to our Williston team.”
Technicians at S.W.COLE provide field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, aggregate, pavement and similar materials and provide special inspections for building projects.
S.W.COLE has 10 employees in Vermont, working from both the Williston office and a similar office in White River Junction.
The company is an employee-owned firm of over 90 technicians, engineers and scientists, providing geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and geoenvironmental services for projects throughout New England. Established in 1979, S.W.COLE has offices in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
